Hey, I'm Jess

I transplanted from the midwest to the Pacific Northwest with my husband and our two dogs in 2019. I had never been to Washington before, but I was chasing a lifelong dream of adventure in the outdoors. And we couldn't think of a better place than the PNW.

I have spent the last 7 years pursuing my passion through hiking, climbing, backpacking, paddle boarding, and more. Every journey in the outdoors had me searching for the most beautiful places I could find, with my dogs and my camera in tow. My dogs were my first (only slightly grudging) subjects. But those experiences sparked an idea to share my love of natural spaces with others by documenting adventures that went beyond my own. I have spent miles on foot through Washington, Oregon, and California, finding those literal picture perfect views that are the best setting for your memories and milestones.

Why work with me?


Every love story and every adventure is beautiful and I want to document your memories in a way that is true to you. My space is queer affirming and welcoming to all. I believe the diversity makes the world a better place and I am here to embrace you exactly as you are. I take my job seriously- I go beyond showing up day of to take your photo. I walk with you through the planning stages, curate location options to fit your vision, and help with any curve ball that comes your way. Above all, I value your safety and experience so that you can look back on our time together and see only the joy of your day in front of the camera.


And I get it. If you're here, you might be thinking of planning an elopement or intimate micro wedding- whether it's because you don't want the big traditional wedding, you want to focus on including your closest friends or family, or you're just trying to find what feels like 'you'. I can relate to that. After my partner and I got engaged in 2017, we immediately felt uneasy with the idea of a traditional wedding. Instead, we eloped in Joshua Tree National Park later that year with a handful of our closest people. If we were planning our marriage today, we might change the where or the when, but we wouldn't change eloping. We chose the path that felt like 'us' and we have never regretted it. The only thing I do regret? Not including our dogs, which is why pet inclusive elopements are the focus of my business.
